The first time Joni Masterson and her husband Tom walked into the Towne Pointe community in downtown Redmond, “It felt like home.”
“We had been looking for a condo in the Bellevue/Kirkland/Redmond area for quite some time, but the moment we walked into the Towne Pointe condominium community, our search ended,” says Joni, adding, “We love it here.”
Priced from $515,000 to $685,000, the 20 homes in this boutique community offer over-sized floor plans that range in size from 1,347 to 1,782 square feet. The gracious size of the homes allows home-owners to “live comfortably,” according to the Mastersons’ neighbors, Glenn and Tedi Yasuda. “Our floor plan works very well for the two of us,” explains Glenn.
Sixty percent of the homes have been sold and some of the floor plans are now no longer available. A one-bedroom-plus-den home is still unspoken for, as are seven two-bedroom-plus-den homes. The homes are perched on a hill, affording homeowners territorial views.
“We are surrounded by trees, so even though we are in the city, we feel like we live in an aerie,” says Joni. To take advantage of this setting, the community’s architect incorporated entertainment-sized balconies or patios to extend the living space outdoors and oversized windows to capture the views and fill the rooms with natural light.
Interiors are outfitted in harmonizing materials, including polished granites, sleek hardwoods and natural stones. In the professionally equipped kitchens, amateur chefs will appreciate the full stainless steel KitchenAid appliance package — including five-burner gas ranges — as well as ample cabinetry, pantry cabinets or pantries, microwave cabinets and shelves pre-wired for televisions. In the master suites, owners are pampered by a posh bath drenched in luxurious elements including showers wrapped floor-to-ceiling in tile, granite countertops with decorative back-splashes, large wood-framed mirrors and ceramic tile flooring. Deep soaking tubs offer the perfect spot to relax and re-energize.
Every home also includes a true sense of entry, a large laundry room and a gas fireplace encased in custom shelving and woodwork. Additional amenities include controlled access entry and parking monitored by security cameras.
Serving as the community’s “living room” is a fourth-floor atrium with comfortable seating and an enormous skylight. The atrium and Towne Pointe’s private park, located behind the building, encourage interaction among homeowners.
“We wanted to give our homeowners the opportunity to form friendships, but in a relaxed, unforced way. They can unwind with a glass of wine in the atrium or catch up on a bench in the park,” says Bob Yount, developer of Town Pointe.
Towne Pointe is just 10 minutes from the Microsoft campus and across the street from the Bella Bottega Shopping Center.
“We appreciate all the amenities nearby — the grocery, drug store, video store and restaurants,” says Glenn Yasuda. “We like to walk the Sammamish River Trail, go to the movies or library or go shopping at Redmond Town Center. There are lots of things to do in Redmond.” |
